Why We Started Our Infrastructure Inspection Division

At Engineered Containment, we launched our Infrastructure Inspection Division in response to a growing demand from owners and consultants who repeatedly reached out to us after experiencing failures in their projects due to welding defects, water infiltration, and/or non-compliant QA/QC on their concrete protective liner (CPL) installations. These systems were not installed in a way that would lead to a 100 year design service life, a target at the heart of everything we do.

The Problem: Given that most 3rd party and in-house Inspectors are required to know a lot about everything they inspect on a large infrastructure project, it is difficult for them to be an authority for the very specialized procedures and QA/QC protocols required for industry-compliant concrete protective liner installations, leading to . As industry leaders with Engineering Permits to Practice in British Columbia and Alberta combined with deep construction/installation experience, we know the nuances of these highly specialized systems and have seen firsthand the costly consequences of improperly installed systems.

Our Solution: By establishing this division, Engineered Containment offers owners 3rd party protection from the very start. We provide inspections that delve beneath the surface, identifying potential problems before they become critical failures, most of which occur quickly and before commissioning. With our extensive background in both inspection and construction, we bring real-world insights and solutions, ensuring that every project is held to the highest standard of quality and compliance.

Why Choose Us: As industry experts, we not only understand the complexities of concrete protective liner installations but also have a proven track record of stepping in when things go wrong. Our dual expertise in inspection and construction means we don't just inspect—we can make the necessary repairs. When you choose Engineered Containment, you're choosing a team that knows what to look for and how to fix it, ensuring your projects are built to last from the ground up…and down.
